Veg Out ‘N About:
If you’re looking for an inexpensive and filling lunch option in Bend, look no further than The Taco Stand, an unpretentious small restaurant that’s been serving great cheap eats for over 20 years. Tucked away at 221 NW Hill Street a few blocks from downtown Bend, The Taco Stand might be off the beaten path, but it’s worth the effort to find. Among the many burritos and tacos that can be veganized upon request, there is also “The Gary Special”—a large, inexpensive vegan burrito full of beans, rice, spinach, cilantro, salsa, and more. If it’s not spicy enough for you, there are a couple of red and green sauces available to add at the table. Stop by between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, or for more information, call 541-382-0494.
